This will make available a portion of the 1961 county allocation of (quote 1960 initial allocation) of conservation for approval practices to be performed this fall. The first date for consideration of requests for Federal costsharing by the San Juan ASC county committee is Aug. 25, I960. Subsequent dates are as follows: Sept. 22, Oct. 28, Nov. 17. Crittenden explained that the program will provide for the most part the same rates of and specifications for conservation practices that were under the 1960 Agricultural Conservation Program. Crittenden went on to say that during the period August 1 to Dec. 31, 1960 program provisions will remain the same, permitting the payment of Federal assistance uncost-sharin- g der either the 1960 or 1961 program, depending on the status of program funds in the county and that program provisions may on change January 1. Such changes will be publicized at that in Salt Lake City were: Charles Redd. LaSal; Robert Anderson, Monticello; Parley V. Redd, Clard ence Rogers, Bill Kline and Redd, all of Blanding. This represents a decline of $1,670,000 from May 1959. The lower income reflects a slightly lower production rate and a lower crude price. The average price per barrel in May 1960 was $2.69 compared with $2.87 in the same period of 1959. Lisbon Valley production for May was valued at $10,909 according to the State report. For the first five months of 1960 the value of all oil produced in the Lisbon Valley field has equalled $77,153. Total San Juan County produc tion was valued at $7,304,263 compared with $9,068,000 during May, 1959. The reduced income is attributed to a lower May production and a reduction in the value of crude oil. Pure Oil Cos. No. 2 NW Lisbon C, located in the NE NW Section 3, Twp. 30S, Rge. 24E, San Juan County, a north extension to the Lisbon Field, has flowed oil from the Paradox on a (Pennsylvania) formation drill-stetest test. The drill-ste5844-613- 2 ft., tool open 74 hours. Gas flowed in three minutes, mud in 15 minutes, gas gauged at 940 inch MCFG'D rate on 1 inch to chokes. Oil flow (on hi inch choke) was gauged at 299 barrels of oil in 5 hours and 35 minutes. Initial flow pressure was 330 lbs. psi, decreasing gradually to 100 lbs. psi. During the final 35 minutes of the test well flowed 35 barrels, or at rate of a barrel a minute. On a 1 inch choke gas flow increased to 1,400,000 cubic feet per day. The well is in salt at 6132 ft., with limestone and shale stringers, and was reportedly still in gas zone. A later test made at 6095-613- 2 ft., recovered 60 ft., of oil cut mud, and an m m earlier test at 637-443- 2 ft., re- covered only 40 ft., of mud cut oil and 30 ft., of slightly gas cut mud. The Paradox zone which yielded oil on above test covered a 288 ft., interval. Pure was continuing to test and core ahead. If sustained, it would add the to the already Pennsylvanian productive Mississippian and Devonian pays. Belco Ketr., has continued to core oil and gas zone at its No. 2 State in section 16, Twp., 30S, Rge., 24E, in Lisbon field, San Juan County. Some 300 ft., of limestone-dolomite with fractured to vugular to pinpoint porosity has been developed down to 8652 ft., all bleeding condensate and gas. It is in the Mississippian and production from that zone appears virtually assured. Lewis and Resource VenH. Larsen, tures, Inc., of Salt Lake and others share interests in the lease.
