DeVlne of the Ogden chamber of commerce was compelled to hold an Impromptu reception to receive congratulations from chamber and club members and business men not members of either organisation upon the scope and timeliness of his remarks. Mr. DeVlne spoke at a meeting of chamber of commerce members with members of the Kiwanls club. President Frank browning of the Kiwanls club was In charge. After preliminaries, consisting of music by a Jiigh school rtiorus, and a report by Henry Olson on the national convention of canners In Chicago, Air. Browning pre-- s ited Mr. DeVlne.. Mr. DeVlne made It plain that the chan.ber of commerce Is the one organisation In Ogden that stands firmly and at all times squarely back of Ogden and the business Interest of the city. In this discussion, Mr. DeVlna made It plain that Ogden has no fight against Idaho or Idaho grain growers, that that all this city asks Is a square deal. Mr. DeVine declared, "is In terested In the matter of equitable rates into and out of this city, and we are going to get them. The rail roads are not to blame, and we do notrWame them. .
