He was born at Parowan August 24, 1882, to Alvin and Elizabeth Orton Benson. He married Dottie Stubbs April 4, 1905 in Parowan. In 1919 they moved to Delta and later to Lynndyl where they resided till some 20 years ago when they moved to So. Calif.
