We charge 50 cents for papers that are less than six months old, $1 for papers that are six months to five years old and $2 for any paper we have that is five years or older. What are your deadlines? Our deadline for all news items is Mondays at 5:00 p.m. The only exceptions to this is if it is on a holiday week, and we run the deadline for the holiday week in the previous weeks issue. Any items that come in after the deadline that have to be in the paper, will be charged $10 each, any other items will be held until the next issue. How does The Morgan County News handle Letters to the Editor? We welcome letters to the editor on subjects of interest to local readers. However, we cannot print more than one letter per household per month. For more information, see the bottom of page 4 in each issue. P"e Morgan County News What do you charge for, other than ads? If you are a subscriber, you can place new arrivals, missionaries, young womanhood awards, Eagle scouts, college graduations, 50th wedding anniversaries and 80th birthday notices. If you are not currently a subscriber, the cost is $10 each. We charge everyone, whether they are a subscriber or not, for any other announcements (16th birthday, 40th birthday, etc.) How do I place a classified and what is the cost? We are happy to put your classified in the paper. The cost is $5.50 for the first 15 words and 20 cents a word after that, per insertion. If you live in Morgan Valley, we can bill you for the ad. If the ad is not paid within 10 days of publication, there will be a service charge of $2 per month. Out of county ads must be paid in advance. 1 to place the ad. It will be out soon. We also print wedding invitations, stationery, business cards, rubber stamps, brochures, booklets, programs, pens, cups, etc. If it has anything to do with printing, we can do it for a reasonable price. is there a charge? Most of our obituaries come from local for funeral homes. We welcome out-of-ar- ea people who have a connnection to Morgan. All obituaries will be confirmed with the mortuary handling the funeral. We are a small paper and sometimes we dont hear of things that are happening until after the fact. Just call us at and we would love to talk to 1 (801) you about your tips.
