The City of Huntington is hosting a community blood drive with ARUP Blood Sendees, on Aug. 4 from 7 p.m. at the town hall. Donations will 2-- benefit patients at Primary Childrens Medical Center, Huntsman Cancer Institute, University of Utah Hospitals and Clinics, Shriners Hospital for Children and Uintah Basin Medical Center. Rodeo Tickets for Senior Citizens A discount ticket will be available for county senior citizens to attend the Thursday or Fri- day night San Rafael Pro Rodeo. These tickets can be purchased at the local senior citizen centers. Buses will run from the senior centers to the rodeo on Thursday night as needed. A bus will also run from Green River. The rodeo is on July 29, 30 and 31. Huntington Airport Flying Club Huntington Municipal Airport is forming-- flying club for the residents of Emery County. There will be two meetings held, July 29 at 7 p.m. and July 31 at 8 p.m. Both will be held in the Huntington Airport terminal. Educational Opportunity Center The College of Eastern Utah has a new Educational Opportunity Center serving Carbon and Emery Counties. The program is designed to assist adults who would like to start into a college of their choice. The Educational Opportunity Center can assist students with a v of sen ices including financial aid applications, college course selection and completing their GEDs, if needed. It is a free sen ice and targets low income and first generation students. If you would like to start college in the fall, now is the time to get started.
