Mary was born Nov. 10, 1918 in Mohrland. She married Nick Katsavrias, a coal miner, on Sept. 5, 1937. The couple built their home in Price, where Mary still resides. Nick passed away Jan. 16, 1978. Mary has two children, Bessie Pappas Grillos and Gust, and two grandsons. She has opened her home and heart in caring for numerous children in the Carbon County area.
