She will be greatly missed by loving nieces and nephews. Funeral services were Friday, Nov. 4, in the Wellington 4th LDS Ward Chapel, with a viewing Thursday evening at Fausett Mortuary. Norman Fillmore Ena Gerrard PRICE Ena Jane Thorburn Gerrard, age 70, passed away at LAWRENCE James Norman Fillmore, 70, of Lawrence died peacefully at home Nov. 3, 1994 following a courageous her home Oct. 28, 1994 due to natural causes. She was bron Sept. 18, 1924 in Cabri, Saskatchewan, Canada. She married Eldred Louis Cottrell Gerrard on Christmas Eve, battle with seven-mont- h leukemia. The fifth of six sons bom to Franklin Frank and Emma Marie Anderson Fillmore, Normans birth was May 6, 1924 in Castle Dale. He married Reva Lucile Allen March 5, 1947 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. At the time of his passing, Norman resided at his lifelong home on the farm homesteaded and built by his Alma Staker. A career Norman remained faithful to his grandfathers plan that the property be cultivated and improved. His Herford cattle and beautiful crops were always a souce of great pride to him. A veteran of World War II, Norman served his country in Germany. He was employed at U.S. Fuel Company, Hiawatha, for 3 1 years and retired in 1983, a 1958. great-grandfathe- r, rancher-stockma- mechanic-electricia- He n, n. served three terms on the Agricultural Stabilization and Conservation Service (ASCS) board, was a charter member of the Buckhom Travelers Good Sams Club, serving as president, vice president and wagon master. He and Reva traveled North America extensively, visiting Canada and Mexico as well as many states including Alaska, where he loved to catch salmon! An honorable man with much integrity, Norman had a strenth of character and spirit admired by anyone who knew him. He had the special gift of a singing voice well-develop- and shared his talent extensively. Norman is survived by his wife; six children. Dale (Angie) Fillmore, Blair (Maryann) Fillmore, Blaine (Cindy) Fillmore and Carl (Elizabeth) Fillmore, all of Lawrence; Roy (Rosann) Fill- more, Orangeville; Sharon (Robert) Chmieleski of Coalville; 17 grandchildren, Evan, Aleesa, Owen, Christy, Teresa, Darren, Carla, Jessie, Jacob, Eric, Colton, Carson, Chandler, Katie, Jacob, Brigit and Erica. He was preceded in death by his parents, five brothers and grandson, Andrew D. Fillmore. Pa, Husband, Grandpa and Rainbow your presence in our lives will be deeply missed. Funeral services were Monday, Nov. 7, in the Huntington LDS Stake Center, with a Glen Nielson HUNTINGTON Glen Ford Nielson, 85, died Nov. 5, 1994 in Price. He was born May 26, 1909 in Huntington to Anton and Sara May Lott Nielson. He married Julia LaVon Jones June 8, 1931 and has been her loving husband for 63 years. He was a member of the Huntington Glee Club for 60 years. He served as ward clerk and was a high priest in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-daSaints. He was also a member of the Elks y Club. He is survived by his wife of Huntington; children and their d spouses, Peggy and Arnold of St. George; Julie and Bill Black of Huntington; 11 grandchildren, Debra, Kenna, Kim, Tammy, Rodney, Trudy, Dexter, Ada, Amy, Alan and Jessica. He is also survived by a sister, Dora Geary of Huntington; and a brother, Paul Nielson of Salt Lake City. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Jerry Childs Phillips. Funeral services will be Wednesday, Nov. 9, 1 p.m., in the Huntington LDS Stake Center. After receiving her degree, she served her residency at the Moose Jaw General Hospital in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan. She came to the United States in the early 1950s and worked at Elko General Hospital in Elko, Nev., where she met her husband, Eldred. They moved to Dragerton (now East Carbon City) in 1963. They settled in Price in 1968, where she worked at Carbon and Castleview hospitals. Prior to Enas retirement, she was the evening supervisor of nurses. She was born Dec. 16, 1943 in She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-daSaints and served in the Primary, MIA and Relief Society organizations. She was a devoted homemaker and spent her life serving her husband, GREEN RIVER, Wyo. Jack L. Brinkerhoff, 60, of Green River, Wyo., died Oct. 30, 1994 at the 45 West 9 and hunting, fishing and lapidary. He is survived by his wife, Lurae of Green River, Wyo.; his mother, Iona Dougherty of Price; a sister, Sally Atwood of Elmo; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Jack Brinkerhoff; and his stepfather, Andrew Dougherty. He had been in ill health the past four months. He was bom July 4, 1934 in Huntington, the son of Jack and Iona Jones Brinkerhoff. He married Lurae Ahrendes in Murray April 1, 1961. He was a resident of Green River, Wyo., for 26 years and was a former resident of Pocatello, Idaho. He attended schools in Emery County, graduating from North Emery High School, classof 1952. He attended the College of Eastern Utah and graduated from Brigham YoUng University in 1960. He served his country and worked in the medical corp. He was a retired quality assurance officer, having worked for FMC for 32 years until his retirement in 1994. He was a chemist and a very talented person. He had an interest in wildlife, photography, The Emery High faculty has named Mistie Johansen and Leeon Jeffs Students of the Week Mistie is the daughter of Kirk and Julie Johansen of Castle Dale. Mistie is a 4.0 student She is currently president of the Emery FFA Chapter. She is a member of the team and was recently awarded Academic Award. She the Is also a member of Emery's rodeo team. She has been chosen Emery High's General Sterling Scholar. She Is a member of the state winning FFA Livestock judging team and is competing on a national level In Kansas City this week. She is currenly helping instruct clogging and western dance classes. She enjoys singing and playing the piano. cross-countr- y Leeon is the son of Lee and Pam Jeffs of Castle Dale. He is studentbody reporter, loves cross country and track and is preparing for the National Cross Country Meet that will be held in Fresno in December. Leeon is 1st counselor to the bishop In his Priest Quorum, Is an Eagle Scout and enjoys doing cowboy poetry. Leeon has great determination, loves life and always wants to have fun.
