Show 12A Emery County Progress Tuesday, November 16, 1993 Green River stages musical On Nov. 1 8 , 1 9 and 20, Green River High School will present this years musical production Meet Me in St. Louis. Meet Me in St. Louis is based on the MGM motion picture starring Judy Garland, and on Kensington Stories by Sally Benson. Music and lyrics are by Hugh Martin and Ralph Blane. Popular songs from this show include The Trolley Song and Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas. Set in 1 903 at the St. Louis Worlds Fair, Meet Me in St. Louis is about a fanciful time when families stuck together, girls fell in love with the boy next door and father knew best. When the film was first made, it didnt have a strong antagonist because the world already had one in Hitler. The stage versions antagonist, and also its protagonist, in change. The story is about change, both good and bad. Preparing for this week's opening of Meet Me in St. Louis at Green River High School are Andrea Rowley, as Esther Smith, Meghan Hoffman, as Katie, and Heidi Drawe, as Rose Smith. The play will be held Nov. 18-2- It is about life and 0.
