PEOPLE MUST PUBLIC NOTICE j i ; j i ' The Bureau of Land Management has informed the Forest Service that the terms and conditions of Federal Coal Lease will soon be due for readjustment. This lease is located on the Ferron and Price Sal National Forest. Districts of the Manti-L- a Lease totaling 1,211.48 acres, is held by PacifiCorp and is located approximately 12 miles northwest of Orangeville in Emery County, Utah. The regulations in 43 Code of Federal Regulations, part 3451, require that all coal leases issued prior to August 4, 1976, be subject to readjustment at the end of the first period and at the end of each period thereafter. The Ferron Ranger District of the Manti-L- a Sal National Forest is in the process of conducting an environmental analysis for this proposed 20-ye- ar ' I j ; I 10-ye- ar lease readjustment. ' coal 384-237- PUBLIC NOTICE ; Notice is hereby given that Ferron City has need to hire Crossing Guards to assist school children in crossing to and from school each day during the regular school year to begin January 4th, 1993. The city will employ one guard to work on a daily basis and will also hire an alternate to cover the position in case of absence or illness. The job requires flexible hours, adaptability to various weather conditions and the anility to place the safety of our children as a top priority. Drugs confiscated While working traffic patrol in the Green River area recently, Deputy Blake Gardner stopped an eastbound vehicle for speeding. Deputy Gardner said that he could smell the order of alcohol coming from the vehicle. After questioning the driver, a consent search was obtained and an unknown quantify of suspected marijuana was located ld in the side panel of the 1987 Nissan Pathfinder. Detective Kyle Ekker obtained a search warrant for the vehicle , and a total of eight pounds of marijuana were found. A loaded .380 automatic handgun was also found in the vehicle.
