The defendants have been y scheduled to appear for a one-da- 1992. jury trial on June 29, Jack Jim Olsen, 31, Huntington, was charged with two counts of unlawful possession of marijuana, a class B misdemeanor; and one count of possession of drug paraphernalia, also a class B misdemeanor. Olsens trial has been scheduled to take place on June 30, 1992. James Cory Ward, 38, Cleveland, was charged with possession of a dangerous weapon (firearm) by an unauthorized person, a second degree felony; unlawful possession of a prescription drug, a class A misdemeanor; and theft, a class B misdemeanor. with credit for time served, and will allow the defendants to serve their time in the Emery County Detention Center. Halliday also suspended all of the defendants $5,000 fine. In addition to their prison time, the judge told the defendants that they both must obtain their high school diplomas or GEDs during their probation, which is to last 36 months; pay a shared restitution payment of $2, 091, submit to random urin and breath tests, and Karpowitz only must pay for the cost of his extradition from Indiana. Margaret Holliday, 29, Blanding, was convicted of driving while under the influence of alcohol, a class B misdemeanor; driving while operators lisence is suspended or revoked for an alcohol related offense, a class B misdemeanor; open container of alcoholic beverage in vehicle, a class B misdemeanor; speeding, a class B misdemeanor; and failure to wear a safety belt, also a class B misdemeanor. The defendant must also serve a probation and enter into and complete an alcohol rehabilitation program. The defendant had posted $10,000 bail and his preliminary hearing has been scheduled for May 7, 1992. Jeff G. Gardner, 19, Price, was convicted of theft of services, a class A misdemeanor; three counts of burglary of a a third degree felony; three counts of theft, also a third degree felony; and one count of criminal mischief, a class C misdemeanor. Halliday sentenced the defendant to zero to five years in the Utah State Prison. Gardner must also pay a shared restitution of $2,091 and $245 on his own. In a related case, Mark William Karpowitz, 19, Indiana, and Robert Todd Drushal, also known as Robert Todd Poul-so19, Price, were convicted of three counts of burglary of a a third degree felony; two counts of theft, also a third degree felony; one count of criminal mischief, a class C misdemeanor; and Drushal only was charged with another count of theft.
