On the first play after that, Tyler Larsen picked up 17 yards to the one, and then the Wasps scored on a quarterback sneak by Barton Gertsch. The PAT kick was good to bring Wasatch to within three at 7 with 6:36 to The Lady Cougars finished their league volleyball play with a 1 record with their only loss 6-- coming from San Rafael (which they avenged) to clinch first place. The hunt continues through Nov. 15, over most of the state. The daily bag and possession limits are two and four birds repec-tivel- y, roosters only. For specific regulations, checkthe v199 Jjiplan game ,c proctamationi,- - available : wherever wildlife licenses are sold. Overall, hunters can expect only a fair hunt, about the same success as last year. A total harvest of 70,000 birds is expected during the hunt. Loss and degradation of habitat, combined with wet weather during nesting, have taken a heavy toll on pheasant populations in the last few years. Hunters should concentrate their efforts in traditional hunting areas that still offer pheasants good hiding and feeding cover. Birds will be holding tightly in these areas, which means that hunters should take their time and move slowly through heavy cover. Hunters should identify birds before they shoot. Rooster-onl- y harvest has no win. After waiting out the next game, Canyon View entered Following another Emery punt, Wasatch took possession at the Emery 47 with just under five minutes to play. In four plays the Wasps moved to the Emery 16 for a first down. On the next play, Ross Bowden and Burke tackled Larsen for a loss to the 17. A draw play gained just time outs in the game, Emerys quarterback Stilson went to his knee on the next three plays, but the Spartans ran out of downs before running out of time and were forced to punt from their own end zone with three seconds left. The snap went over Burkes hands and through the end zone. It was ruled a safety to end the game at 20-1- 9. Wil-ber- g, Does Your Heart Good. American Heart Association 15-1- with a 15-- 9 win. The CV win was in part due to the excellent serving of the girls who missed on just a few championship second-gam-e opportunities. In the kill department, the front row players did an exceptional job with Guymon having four, Cox three, McElprang seven and Gordon six. effect on pheasant populations. However, illegal hen harvest can be devastating to localized bird numbers. Pheasant hunting will be poor in the limited pheasant habitat of the southeastern region. Numbers of birds observed and productions have been poor this year. The best hunting will be in the agricultural areas of western Carbon , and Emery, counties and near the towns of Green r River and Bluff. In the southern region, pheasant hunting will be poor in Sevier and Millard counties. Pheasant numbers con- tinue to decline in the central region of the state. The best hunting should be on agricultural lands and in heavy cover around Utah Lake. Hunters are reminded that there are new trespass laws this year. Written permission is required to hunt on private land that is properly posted. Written permission can take any form as long as it is signed by the landowner or person in charge and has the name of the person being given permission, and appropriate date and general description of the property.
