They were inquiring as to whether the employee might have an option between ex., dental or optical coverage. d Commissioner Duanne said that there is a possibility of changing to that next year and that the matter will be looked into. Commissioner Thompson said that when a group is insured that the number of people and type of general coverage are the considerations of the company. motion was made by Commissioner Collard. The Emery County Commission met on Wednesday, Nov. 15, in Castle Dale to hear the concerns of county employee representatives Karen Peacock and Jan Peterson. The personnel policy regarding the exempt personnel was unclear. The part in the policy that states that exempt personnel can be let go did not state clearly that this can only take place during the six month probationary period. There have been several employees who feel they have been stuck in their job with no chance for progression due to lack of action from their supervisor on their behalf. The representatives wished to be informed of the proper procedure that these employees should take if they cannot get help from their supervisor. They were informed that the supervisor is the first step, if that fails to get action then the next step is to submit an application to Karen Truman. In her action, Truman would then write an official letter to the supervisor of the depart- - ment concerned and go from there. A concern for many employees was the reporting that people have been receiving an increase in wages even though there is a wage freeze in effect. Commissioner Clyde Thompson said that no wage increases have been issued, only a change of job description.
