Petrie Sr., 63, Price, died June 23, 1983 at his home in Price. He was born Sept. 16, 1919 in Calgary, C- to anada, John Dou-gra- y and Ellen Mur- ray Petrie. He marr- ied Mary Adelaide Craig May 14, 1942. She died Oct. 24, 1977. He married Norma Reid Hansen Feb. 24, 1978. She survives. A resident of Carbon County since 1922, he had worked in various coal mines in the area. He was a retired employee of Kaiser Steel Corp.s Sunnyside Mine with 26 years of service. He was a retired member of United Mine Workers of America, Kaiser Local 9958. He served in the Royal Canadian Navy during World ttkm Warll. In addition to his wife, survivors include one son, John Daniel Petrie Jr., Price; one daughter, Mrs. Ralph (Sandra) Fossat, Helper; his mother, Mrs. Ellen Monks, Price; grandchildren, Vikki, Kelly, Victor, Jonelle and Jackilyn; Raymond Hansen, Price, Richard Hansen, Salt Lake City, and Anna Lee Parlet, Price; and step-childre- n, Funeral services were at 1 p.m. Monday at Mitchell Funeral Hoine in Price. Were proud to be a part of this land of the free, home of the brave! Emery County 7fv Powell Stanley Stanley Elmer Powell, 70, Price, died June 25, 1983 at Castleview Hospital in Price. He was bom Aug. 23, 1912 in Price to Elmer Warren and Gertrude Roberts Powell. He married Clara Bogh Jan. 20, 1938 in the Manti LDS Temple. She survives. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-da-y Saints, the Lions Club, and had served on the Price City Zoning Board when it was first organized. In addition to his wife, survivors include son and daughters, Calleen P. Claxton, Price, Kent S. Powell, Lynnette Spring Glen, and Roswell, N.M.; 13 Wakefield, grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Thelma Deffendol, Price, Floyd Powell, Blackfoot, Idaho, Deon Powell, Murray, and Carol Gibson, Midvale. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Price Sixth Ward LDS Chapel, 300 W. 500 South. Friends may call one hour prior to services. Burial will be in Price City Cemetery. Albert Albert June 22, in C. C. Hyatt Hyatt, 81, Clawson, died at Castleview Hospital 1983 Price. He was born Sept. 2, 1901 Eureka Springs, Ark., to Harry in B. and Grace Weems Hyatt. He married Della Mae Dec. 24, 1921 in Eureka Springs, Utah. She survives. He was a member of the Church of Saints.
