Beth Mecham was so honored as the coach of the winning girls softball team. Unfortunately she was away during the decorating and didnt get back until the rain had soaked everything. Her next door neighbor, Shauna Archibald, was the next to be honored. Shauna, is the mutual teacher of several lively Beehive girls who adorned her home with bright colored balloons and toilet paper, then rang the doorbell and presented her with a cake. certainly Seventy members of the Glen Snow family recently met at Old Folks Flat Canyon. in Huntington Most of them were from Utah, but many came from California, Colorado and Salt Lake scouts Wyoming to attend the family reunion. They had a lovely day renewing old friendships and camping out. Many of them had not seen each other for years. Last Friday Mr. and Mrs. Glen Snow attended a wedding in Salt Lake City of their grandson, David Wright, who resides in California. David has been attending BYU, and in fact, has been the mascot this last year. Mrs. Neva Jensen had a visit from her granddaughter, Torri Jensen, of Beaver. Torri has just returned from Israel where she had been with the Study Abroad Program of BYU. Torris parents, Darwin and Judy Jensen, along with Mr. and Mrs. Ralph and Velda Jensen of Castle Dale and her grandparents traveled to Israel to meet her and accompany her home. While there, the Jensens, with the BYU Travel Group, ex Fonta Farmer of East Carbon perienced the sights, smells and experiences of Egypt, such as riding a camel and visiting the tombs and pyramids. The Jensens spent most of thier 13- day trip in Israel seeing the sacred sights as they studied them from the Bible. City, and Marge Woodruff of Moab. They visited with Davids sisters, Mavis Stone and her family of Castle Dale, and Kate Keele and her family of Price. Dalegene visited with her sister Deena Farmer of Castle Dale and many of her old neighbors and friends. She and David were residents of Emery County and Carbon County until David was transferred by Savage Brothers to Pagosa Springs. Davids son Troy Jones is living with them, and he made the trip to Utah with them to visit with friends and relatives also. David and Dalegene Jones of Pagosa Springs, Colo, spent 10 days here visiting with their children, parents, families and friends. They visited with Dalegenes children, Ronda LeRoy and Cheyenne of Castle Dale and Dale Jones, of Orangeville and their families. They also visited with Davids children, Travis Jones and family of Price, and Teresa Jones of Chugiah, Alaska. Teresa was at her brothers home when they arrived which surprised her father, David, since they Mike Jensen, son of Mr. and Mrs. Allen Jensen of Napa, Calif, is spending some time here in Castle Dale visiting friends and relatives. He is staying with his aunt and uncle, Mr. and Mrs. Stan Jensen. hadnt seen one another for over two years. They also visited with their parents, Lloyd and Bertha Jones of Elmo, Dale and La cycle down canyon boy scouts from Troop Creek 710 in the Halladay-Mi- ll area of Salt Lake City visited Castle Dale enroute to Joes Valley. They liked it so well they came here again last week. Crystal O. Rosenberg hosted nearly a dozen of these scouts on her lawn last week. They came by truck and van from Salt Lake to Huntington Canyon where they spent a cold night just below the snow line. The next morning they mounted their bicycles and proceeded down Huntington Canyon and on to Castle Dale. After refreshments and a brief respite at Mrs. Rosenbergs, they began the arduous treck up Straight Canyon to the Joes Valley Reservoir and then In 1982 the Olsen Ranch where they spent the next few days. Mike Bardsley, whose bone marrow transplant and struggle to health has interested readers, is now in Salt Lake, staying at the home of grandparents and living a quiet life away from infections. According to Stephen Gillmor, Farmers who commissioner, have not reported flood damage claims to the state should do so immediately since they may qualify for federal disaster relief. State and county emergency boards will them report the damage assessment to Governor Scott Matheson for his review to determine if a request for federal disaster relief is needed.
