Her oldest son, John, will be getting married the day after Thanksgiving. She plans on going to California for the wedding. Last weekend the family of Clyde and Jenel Mortensen came home to help Clyde brand his cattle. Duane and Deva Mangum are the proud parents of a baby girl born Nov. 14 at the Sevier Valley Hospital. Her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Newton, are visiting for three weeks. Mr. and Mrs. Nels Hansen and Mr. and Mrs. Willey Behling attended funeral services in Price for Gwendolyn (Gwen) Erickson who died in Price. She was the sister of Reed Keele. People attending the funeral services in Mayfield for Lydia Fair Thompson Jacobsen Tues, Nov. 17, at noon in the Mayfield Chapel were Nettie Mae Jackson, Mr. and Mrs. J.C. Jacobsen, Coy Jacobsen and Martha Jacobsen. They met people who had lived in Emery and who had friends and relatives here, and they all said how much they like it in Emery. Hugh and Shonna Peterson, Joyce, Pearl Peterson, also Ella and Dean Maxfield attended Sacrament service in Castle Dale last week. The occasion was the naming of a grandson born to Colleen and David Bott. He was named by his father. The Botts have two other children, Daniel and Isaac. They named the baby Caleb. from Emery Many people attended the funeral services for Darwin Mangum at 11 a.m. on Saturday. Among the relatives were Stake President Jerry D. Mangum, his wife and family; also Mr. and Mrs. Donald Mangum and family; Mr. and Mrs. Lynn Mangum; It would be the obvious thing Elva Sorenson and three daughters, Elva Lynn, Rhea and Lori from Orem. On Sunday the family went to a testimonial in Orem for Rhea Sorenson who is leaving to go on a mission to Australia. She is the third daughter of Birdell and Elva Sorenson.
