Show Softball news By Ann Fillmore B League Dons Babes beat the Rebels This was a very good, defensive game. Rebels had three double plays. At one point in the game, the Rebels had bases loaded and no outs and Dons Babes held them. Game went Flyers beat Price Steel Fab. into nine innings, and Louise Dennis brought in the winning runs. Dons Babes beat Jacks Shoes 18-- Angie Rinaldi hit a ball that bounced over the homerun fence for an automatic two bases. Carol Larson was the winning pitcher for Dons Babes. Don said his whole team hit 5-- 4. 8-- 5. 4. good. Jolene Petty and Flyers beat Consol Shirley Jacobson both got triple hits for Consol, and Sharlene Lyon got a triple hit on errors for the Flyers. C League Cactus Cuties beat Cleveland Jamie Hansen got a homerun. Susan Kay got a triple, and Diane got a triple on errors for Cactus Cuties. Merchants beat Trail Mountain Wendy Sitterud and Gaylynn Neilson both got homeruns, and Gaylynn Neilson and Lisa Miller both got triple hits for the Merchants. Swamp Angels beat Trail Mountain Teresa Free and Vickie Rasmussen both got triple hits. Becky Free got a triple on errors and Shelly Lemmon got two terrific double plays for Swamp Angels. Merchants beat the Spoilers Gaylynn Neilson and Lisa Miller both got triples, and Gaylynn also got a homerun for the Merchants. Olsen FERRON Raymond Peter Olsen, 90, Emery, died here June 30, 1982. He was bom July 6, 1892 in Emery, Utah, to James Peter and Severene Simonson Olsen. He married Eudean Worthington May 19, 1915 in the Manti LDS Temple. He was a rancher and had served as mayor of Emery for many years. A member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-da- y Saints, he served a mission for the church in the Northern States and had been a counselor in the bishopric for 16 years. He was president of the Muddy Creek Irrigation Co. for many years and was secretary of the Grazing Board. Survivors include one son, Earl R. Olsen, Salt Lake City; one daughter, Cleon Killpack, Ferron; two nine grandchildren; 30 one brother, Alonzo Olsen, Emery. He was preceded in death by his wife and one son, Marvell Kent Olsen. Funeral services were at 11 a.m. Monday in the Emery LDS Ward chapel. Burial was in Emery Cemetery. Fausett Mortuary, Castle Dale, was in charge of arrangements. n; 8. 7-- 5. 15-- 9. - year. demand.
