Show Naomi Jensen (Ssstibe EDgRq ...Mr. and Mrs. Gary Hansen who occupy the Thomas Dykes home on the bench here expect to move to Huntington within the next two weeks. They have purchased a ranch in Huntington Canyon, the upper part of the Chris Brown Farm and have bought a mobile home to live in. Mr. Hansen will continue to serve as Castle Dale water and sewer malntance foreman, however, Mr. and Mrs. Lamar Jacob expect to meet their daughter Geri and husband Michael Peterson and daughter Paige at the salt Lake airport sat. The Petersons are flying up from Atlanta, Georgia to spend the Christmas holidays here with Gerls parents and in Ferron with Michaels parents Mr. and Mrs. Kermit Peterson. Mr, and Mrs, Jacob and guests will be dinner guests Sunday in Salt Lake at the borne of their daughter Julie and Mike and baby. Mrs. Dora Otterstrom entertained meClub at her hombers of the me here Thursday afternoon. Dinner was served and the remainder of the time sp-e- rtt at needle art and visiting. Argene Olsen was a special invited guest. Camp Dale, daughters of Utah pioneers will be entertained here Monday, Dec. 10. by daughters Myrtle Larsen and Wanda Jones, at the Larsen home. Leah Jacob will give the lesson; Mrytle the hlstroy and Christmas gifts will be exchangdd. Mrs. Eleanor jane Gibbons of Provo and her son Norman Lee, faculty member of university of Utah, Salt Lake, were overnight guests here Monday night with Eleanors sister Naomi Jensen, enroute to St. George on business. A little more church news; Sunday in sacrament meeting Melissa Huntington, daughter o f Mr. and Mrs. Wick Huntington was confirmed a member of the church by her father. Also Susan Price, daugiter of Mr. and Mrs. Evan price, by uncle Don price. And Todd Huff, son of Mr. and Mrs ; Randall Huff, confirmed by Bishop Bert Just-A-M- ere Oman. Brother and sister Charles Wright and their family , two sons and one daughter were also confirmed members of the church by Pres. Bott and Mr. Wright and his son Charles jr. were ordained deacons. There was a stake Fireside held here Sunday beginning at 5 p.m. sponsored by the Aaronlc priesthood MIA and brother ed Bradford of BYU was the guest speaker. Mutual marrleds met Sunday evening at 8 p.m. at Bishops home. Their Christmas social will be held Dec. Sat the Old Homestead Restaurant, Reservations are necessary to all those wishing to participate should contact either Kirk Johansen or Larry Bond. All married couples are Invited to attend. Mrs. Jane storr of Blackfoot, Idaho is here for an extended visit, possibly until after Christmas holidays, with her sister Myrtle and Lyman Larsen. Lyman and Myrtle were in Idaho for Thanksgiving and sometimes after visited relatives in Pocatello Idaho, with Mrs granddaughter and family and Mrs. Stoor returned home with them. They also visited relatives in salt Lake. Mr. Glen Jones who has worn his arm in a cast a little more than two weeks is given little or no hopes of shedding the cast before the last of Dec. Nov.l5Glen was changing tires on his car when the car slipped off th jack and fell on hs arm. He spent four days in carbon hospital and according to reports every bone in his wrist was broken. , Evan Bott returned home from Oregon where he just completed a two year mission for the LDS Church. His parents Mr. and Mrs. Glen Bott and their entire family met him at the salt Lake airport. All enjoyed a family dinner i salt Lake. His brothers jerry and Jeffery both returned missionaries and both students at the Utah state University, at Logan, returned to their school work. Evan returned home with his parents. The entire family expect to be together again at Christmas time here. Four new babies were blessed and rec st-o- ors 748-267- 1 eived their respective names in sacrament meeting here Sunday. The baby daugher of Mr, and Mrs. Don Jorgensen was given the name of Apryll Lynell by her father. Daughter of Mr. and Mrs. David Holt was given the name of Kerri Dee by her grandfather Doyle Barney. The babys great grandfather Wash Robertson of Spanish Fork and Mr. Holts parents Mr. and Mrs. Ned Holt, also of Spanish Fork, were here for this very special occasion and all enjoyed a family dinner at the Holt home i n the afternoon. Little grandson of Lamar and Leah Jacob, son of Julie and Massoud shasez-ade- h of salt Lake City was given the name of Hassas Raymond by his grandfather Lamar. Great grandmother Hazel Wayman and her sister Pearl McCall of Orangeville were present forthls event and enjoyed a family dinner at the Jacob home that afternoon. The young couple returned home Sunday evening. Massoud attends school at the University of utahj. Infant son of Mr. and Mrs. Clay Wilb-e- rg was blessed and named Ross Clay by his uncle George Wilberg. George is a foreman of the church farm in Manila, Utah, and had come with his wife and baby for this special occasion. Mr. Wilbergs sister Carolyn and husband Mark Hatch and children from Woo-dscr- were also here. Bob and Ann Judd spent the week end in salt Lake shopping and visiting and were house guests at the home of Anns sister Violet and Walter L. Scofield. Visiting here recently was Mike and Von Nlel Judd and daughter of TwinFall,s Idaho. While here their two daughters employed in Denver, Colo., joined them. They visited with Mrs. Judds mother Mrs. Mary Oman, Mikes brother Bob and Ann Judd and family and other relatives and fri- ends. Sat. evening Merrald and Mildred Rasmussen entertained brothers and sisters of Merrald. This is an annual event of the Rasmussen family during the Christmas season. Dinner was served to 12 at 5 p.m. followed by visiting and exchanging of gi- fts. In addition to Merrald and Mildred the following were in attendance: Francis and Ida Rasmussen, Ferron; Guy and Marie Ware, Orangeville; Alma and Ruby Rasmussen, Murray; Donald and Elva Rasmussen, sandy and Derrall and Vilma Hansen, Sandy. The Hansens were overnight guests with the Rasmussens. Russell and Vera Snow were honored at a family Birthday dinner party at the Elliot Cafe, in Provo, Sunday afternoon, sponsored by their family in honor of their birthdays. Russell was 82 Nov. 18 and Vera was 81 Dec. 1 All sons and daughters and many of their grandchildren, 21 in all were present. Their grand daughter Mrs. Carol Ann Kent, daughter of sterling and Ann snow of provo, who lives in Chicago was unable to attend, but she sent a musical tape that played the rumba for them all during anish Fork, Utah. He was a school bus driver for many many years. He also operated a service station in Emery. Mrs. Millie EUiot of Freemont, Utah celebrated her 90th birthdaySaturday.She is the sister of Luella Jensen in Emery. Sunday night Mr. and Mrs.. Henry Nielson and Mr. and Mrs. George Fisher of Alto-n- a, Utah stopped to visit their aunt Luella on their way home. They brought her a piece of birthday cake. Mrs. Dorthella Blackburn and Mrs. Zona Anderson made a trip into Spanish Fork to attend funeral services for Elmer Olsen. Mrs. Eva Jacobsen retumedhome from Price hospital afterbeinghospitallzedfor a week, she is improving slightly. Nursing home news by Lucy Nielson Residents havin family visitors Sunday were Fred Larsen, Belle AUred, Anderson, Annie Funk, and others. Otherwise Sunday was a quiet day of good food and nursing attention. With Nita Hampshire and the RSVP ladies, the Nursing Home Christmas program was rehearsed Monday afternoon. We are glad to welcome back to our care crew, Edna Fish, happy in her recovery from auto accident. The family of Agiiess Peterson made her happy Tuesday with their visit. Nursing home supervisor Registered Nurse Mrs. Chel Cadez is on duty again. She enjoyed her Thanksgiving vacation in Idaho with family and friends. We missed her, are happy to have her with us. The AUey Cats are Ruby WUlis and Ellen Van Wagner of price in costume. Friday evening we enjoyed a most pleasant visit from Navy man Kent Wright and mother and little brother. He brought his guitar and sang most thrUlingly. We feU in love with him. He is the so of MR. AND Mrs. Doug Wright of Clawson. Home on leave. He is stationed at Norfolk, Virginia.
