Mr. and Mrs. Carlos Larsen and grandson Kerry Larson spent the week end in Smithfield with their son Russell and wife Kathy and children. Mr. and Mrs. Jack Magnuson and family in company with Mr. and Mrs. Sam Harrison and family of salt Lake spent the week end at Cleveland Res. Kimberly Larsen was a guest of the Magnuson family. Mrs. Enid Magnuson, daughter of Mrs. Ina Lee Magnuson, student at BYU. left July 13th to take part in the Hill Cumorah pageant, in New York. Her sister Jill suffered a painful accident here Wednesday when hit in the face with a ball at the MIA softball games. Jill spent 26 hours in Carbon hospital where it was found she had suffered a broken sinus tube and slight concussion. Our Emery County high school band under the direction of Brice Wilson with Mack Wilberg as drum major participated in the July 24th parade in salt Lake City. Very nice on T.V. Ramona and husband jerginKahel from Murray spent the week end here with Ramon a mother Mrs. Ruth Huntsman and family. Mrs. Zola Hardy suffered a stroke at her home here a week ago monday, lost her speech and was rushed to the st.Marks hospital, salt Lake City, she has regained her speech and is expected to leave the hospital the middle of this week but must remain in salt Lake a week or 10 days for observation. Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Wayman finished up their miners summers vacation with a trip to Glacier National Park, and into Canada, Yellowstone National Park and Bear Lake. They were gone ten days and traveled in company with their sons don and Ralph and their families, 13 family members in all. They encountered snow storms in Glacier Park and rain in Yellow-Ston- e. Charlotte and Merrill cox and family of Provo, spent two days at Ferron Reservoir and two days here with Charlottes parents, Mr. and Mrs. George Magnuson. Mr. and Mrs. Glen snow were at Strawberry the first of the week with Mrs. Snows sister, Ramona and Clarence Guy-mof Salt Lake, fishing and were called home for the death of their son Boyd's father-in-laEugene Palmer of Cedar City, who was killed ina car accident tues. Glen and Ida in company with their son Stanely and wife of spring Glen, attended funeral services at Cedar City, Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. Mark Williams in company with their daughter Patsy and Marvin Merckel and children from Green River, are spending the week end at strawberry fishing, camping and sight seeing. Rick and Linda Thomason spent a nice 10 days vacation. They first visited two days with relatives in salt Lake at the home of Lindas brother Glen and Mary Unger-ma- n and children; their next stopof interest was Crystal ice caves at American Falls, Idahom they visited Crater of the Moon National Park; West Yellowstone, 2 days at Yellowstone Park, two days at Flaming Gorge Dam; arriving home sat. night and then on Sunday took Lindas parents Theo and Rose Ungerman to the rodeo in the salt Palace. While in salt Lake they enjoyed a family dinner at the Glen Ungerman home with the following family members; Mr. and Mrs. Louis Ungerman and family, Glen and Mary Rick and Linda, Keith and Helen and family. Parents Rose and Theo and an uncle and aunt Loren and Arilla Ungerman, home Sunday. Kathleen Lemon and baby from Roosevelt visited here a week with her parents Mr. and Mrs. Francis Jensen. Her husband came for her and visited over the week end. Foster and Nlnajensenfromsunnyside and their daughter Ann and husband Blain Kelly from Tooele visited here Sunday at the Francis Jensen home. Francis and Foster are brothers and Nina and Una Mrs. Miller three weeks or more. The girls plan to fly home. Mrs. LaFonta Farmer and son Lance and daughter Denna from Colville, Wash, are here for a few weeks visit with her daughter Dalegene and jack Jones and family. Myrtle and Lyman Larsen just returned the first of the weak from a weeks vacation or rather visit here and there; they first attended the wedding reception of their niece Helen Buxton In salt Lake, on Wednesday of last week, that night they were over night guests at the home of Helens sister Marie and Bert Williams and family in Tooele; thursday was spent with Myrtle's eye docter in salt Lake; friday they went to Ogden where they went through the Ogden temple with another niece, Caren Crane, who was being married and on to Twin Falls, Idaho for the reception, they next visited Myrtles sister and family Jane stoor in Blackfoot, and Aberdeen, Idaho; arriving home Wednesday, Friday Mr.andMrs.PaulJohnsonfrom Salem, Utah, visited here with Myrtle and Lyman. Mr. Johnson and Lyman taught school together in Duchesne county. Christy is the one year old daughter of Marie and jack McCarty. Nancy Umphenour spent a week with grand parents Mr. and Mrs. Lorin Ungerman of salt Lake.
