Those retiring were Bob Nielsen , Huntington, Herbert Rowley, Huntington, and Pat Winters, castle Dale. A gift was presented to each one from their and a nice meal was prepared by the wives of the workers with Kentucky fried chicken, hot rolls, salads and cake. Engagement news Mr. and Mrs. Roy E. Ovlatt of Elmo, announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Jenlne, to Kip D. Cotner, son of Mr. and Mrs. jack D. Cotner of Miller creek. Jenlne Is a graduate of Emery county High school, presently employed for the Utah Power and Light plant at Huntington Canyon. Kip is a graduate of Carbon High school attended C.E.U. & Is employed by Peabody Coal Co. at Huntington Canyon. The couple have set Sept. 30 as their wedding day. Mr. and Mrs. Lee G. Humphrey of Orangeville, wish to announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Lilly Denise, to Gert G. Hein-z- lg of Lehi, Utah. The couple met at B.Y.U. where Gert graduated In the spring of 1972 majoring In German. Lilly will intern teach in Granite District this fall and graduate from the Y. next spring. Gert works with the Boy Scouts. They will be married in the Manti Temple on September 22, 1972. They will live in the Salt Lake area. Senior Citizens News Twenty-thr- ee senior citizens from over the county enjoyed breakfast early f riday morning at Joes Valley campground, under the direction of Opal Jensen. Following dinner the evening was spent singing and visiting. Those In attendance were; the guests, Mr. and Mrs. Dee Hansen. The Hansens were honored prior to their departure to Ogden where Mr. Hansen was transferred by the soil Conservation service. Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Bartholomew and family were recent visitors from their Mayfield home at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Delbert Childs. Mr. and Mrs. Lee Caldwell and girls from Moab visited during the week with grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Glendon Caldwell and Royal and Norma Fox. Darrel Stevens was Injured In a mine accident Tuesday night. He Is recovering nicely from bruises and broken libs at the carbon Hospital In Price. We wish him a speedy recovery. The closing social for MIA was held at the Ferron Picnic grounds. Games and a fun time were had by all as well as lots of good things to eat. We would like to express our appreciatiof our friends and relatives who helped in any way during the recent on to everyone bereavement, also thank the Bishopric and the Relief society ladies for furnishing the lunch and helping with the flowers.
