The A Crown went to Emery with a 54 point total, while Wasatch garnered 50; Union (Roosevelt) 37; San Juan 36; and Cedar City, 34. Once yearly each Local Council in America is authorized to nominate outstanding men and women for the Silver Beaver and Silver Fawn Award. These men and women must have given exceptional service to Scouting within the Lo- cal Council. As a Board Member and VICE Chairman of 'Emery Rex doesn't District, let anything stand in the way of the successful performance of his duty. Few District activities are ever held without him being in attendance -- always searching for ways to be of service. When a Unit or District event is held, Rex and his vehicles are always available to see that the boys and their equipment get there and back safely. As Su- perintendent of the YMMIA, he has worked diligently to make scouting a vital part of a boy's life. Truly Rex is a living example of Scouting ideals. Best Actress was Marsha Ashworth in the part of Sally Evans in Ce- Ruth had a happy childhood growing up in the beautiful mining town of Standardville as the youngest of eleven children bom to Mr. and Mrs. Nephi Albert Lamph. Mr. Lamph, tipple foreman for 22 years, moved his family to Spring Glen when the mine closed down. Ruth was 12 years old at the time. After living in Spring Glen 2 years the Lamph family moved to Cleveland. Ruth fell in love with the community, and also with a handsome Young man named Robert Litster. They were married shortly after graduating from North Emery High School. The union was blessed with 4 children: Emma Lee Larsen of Huntington; Nora Goff, Salt Lake City; Robert Jr., Ogden; and Brenda Leonard, Price.AU have children, which makes the Litsters grandparents of 10, including a pair of twin boys. They have also been privileged to have three foster children and an exchange student in their home. Magnuson of Castle Dale has been named as one of four Utah H Standard Oil Scholarship winners, Glenn Baird, 4-- H superviosr, Utah State University Extension , has announced. He is the Son of Mrs. Ina Lee Magnuson. Active in H for nine years, Clyde has received the County Agriculture award and the county beef award, has been a member of the livestock judging team for, three years and served as mayor of 4-- H camp. Standard Oil provides four $400 scholarships annually to Utah 4-- H members.
