Fenton Moffitt has been in unfaltering stride throughout his years of service to 600 farmers of this area. Farm born and reared, he perceived the need of the farmers and how to help them through the Agricultural Stabilization and Conservation Seprograms administered by this agency and among these was the Rural Environmental Assistance Program (REAP). This consisted of many Conservation accomplishments for this county through the building of irrigation and livestock reservoirs, the lining of many miles of ditches, leveling land, construction of fences for better grassland management , seeding of hundreds of acres of permanent pastures, as well as the installation of unnumbered headgates, flumes, water measuring devices and pipelines for livestock water. Through these practices and Fenton's assistance, farmers have received thousands of dollars in matching funds. Other programs which his office administered were the Feed Grain and Wheat set-asiWool Incentive payments, Farm Storage Facility Loans , and, in weather disaster years, the Livestock Feed Program.
