He is much better now. While he was ill his children came to see him. Ellen Bryan and two children came for the weekend, Don Peterson came from Sandy and George Peterson came from Richfield. They visited andhelped him get home and then returned to their homes Sunday evening. Ellen re turned to her home in Salt Lake City Saturday evening. CARBON EMERY sale to be held tonight, Thursday, November 16, at the Legion Hall. President Irma Box and werk director, Gladys Nelson, report that there are many lovely items to be sold this year which would thrill the shoppers. There will be a variety of fpney, work, quilts, aprons, etc., wonderful Christmas gifts for all. There will also be a food sale and foed that can be eaten while shopping. Come and have a nice supper, enjoy leisurely shopping and mingle with good company, all at once. The sale will commence at 4 p.m. Bertha Larsen visited a day last week with her mother, Mary Anderson, in Emery. Bertha also reports that their son Lyle will be discharged frem the U. S. Navy on December 15 and plans to be home fro Christmas. Lyle has spent 32 years in the service, assigned to the aircraft carrier USS Bon Homme Richard. He has made three trips overseas on this vessel and will sail from Japan on December 3 for home. The Larsen family is anxious to see him again.
