They were on their way to Arizona on business. re Sam Singleton reports that his sister Collen and family, the Wanlas Jorgensens, have moved to Alaska to work and make their new home. Jim Nelson visited his parents, and Mrs. Bryant Nelson, the deer hunting weekend returned to his home in Mr. for and Salt Lake City. Mr. and Mrs. George WhiUock visited with some friends in Ferron a short while during the weekend. Mr. Whitlock was the Forest Ranger in Ferron some years ago and they are now living in McCall, Ida. The Primary held their annual Halloween party Monday evening at the church. There were special dances and goodies for sale. Several parents were there also and joined in the fun with their children, dressed as ghosts, goblins, etc. Mr. and Mrs. Vaughn Taylor visited with Mr. and Mrs. Evan Huntsman and family Thursday afternoon while they were In the county to purchase a load of coal. The two ladies are sisters and enjoyed the visit before the Taylors returned to their home in Loa. Among those attending the Emery county temple excursion Saturday were Mr. and Mrs. James Evans, Mrs. Evans aunt Lucy Cook of Castle Dale, Eva Killpack, Johnson, Hazel Christensen and Erma Jensen. Also attending to do work for the dead were 20 students of South Emery high school. They did 360 baptisms that day. La-Ve- Some church employees from the Welfare Department in Salt Lake City, Dee Rider and son, and Charlie Knight and son, joined most of the workers of the Deseret Coal Mine in a deer hunting party last weekend. Jay Larsen of Salt Lake City accompanied his father, Leonard Larsen, in the group from Ferron. The 21 hunters got their deer in a short time. Freida Behling received word - from her brother, Erwin Boldt, in Salt Lake City that his wife Lena had passed away. The funeral was held Wednesday in Salt Lake and the Richard Behlings attended. Mr. and Mrs. Boldt and family came here to live a short while with the Behlings after the war from Germany and have many friends Sunday- CONSTITUTIONAL AMENDMENT No. 2: CONSTITUTIONAL AMENDMENT No. 1: Shall Section 24 of Article VII of the Constitution of the State of Utah be amended to grant temporary emergency powers to the Legislature in the event of war or emergency caused by war. PTA president Louise Funk would like to announce that the annual Parents Day for the Ferron elementary school will be held Wednesday, November 9. The meeting will be held at 7:30 in the auditorium. A special evening is planned and all concerned are urged to attend. Thursday, November 10, the high school parents day will be held. Nola Vogrenic of Hiawatha visited Sunday with her mother, Mrs. Thompson, and other relatives. Loye Thompson was in Salt Lake City visiting with relatives last Wednesday and Thursday. 5. Mrs. Preston Thompson enjoyed the company of her nice, Mrs. Sally Jorgensen, of Salt Lake City last week. Her sister, Mrs. Iris Luke, and her mother, Alice Justesen, of Orangeville visited with her Saturday, Those attending the Halloween square dancing party last Friday night from Ferron were Ray and Bertha Larsen and and Eldonna Ralphs.
