Kim and David Boger of Cali Cochitta Bed and Breakfast located at 1 1 0 S 200 E. are this month's winners Each month a Chamber member will receive this honor for having beautified their business. The beautification sign will stand outside of each property for a month. In addition, the winning business will receive a plaque and be highlighted on the front page of the Chambers new web site www moabchamber com. Obituary Norma Langianese died Sept. 16 Norma M. Langianese joined her family in heaven on Sept. 16, 2001. She was the devoted and loving wife of Matthew, as well as the beloved mother of Michelle of Wimberley, Texas, and Joette of by the University of Texas Medical Center in Galveston. Norma was very involved in the League of Women Voters, activities within her church and was an avid bird watcher. She traveled throughout the country with her husband Matt, and especially enjoyed her last adventure to Alaska for their 50th wedding anniversary. Norma was a caring friend and a wonderful teacher and will be truly missed by all, especially her radiant Moab, all of whom survive her. Norma was born in Rousville, PA on June 13, 1922. She was a WWII Marine veteran, having been stationed in Paris Island, North Carolina, and had resided in Beaumont, Texas for the last 25 years. She was a courageous woman and survived three valiant bouts with smile. A memorial service was held in cancer, before dying peacefully due to complications from pancreatic cancer. Her request to donate her body for medical research was honored Beaumont, Texas on Wednesday, Sept. 19 at St. Andrews Presbyterian Church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society. Program helps smokers break habit Utah Adults Who are struggling to quit smoking can now find help and resources by dialing a free phone number (8788) the new Utah Tobacco Quit Line launched on Friday by the Utah Department of Healths Tobacco (UDHT) Prevention and Control Program. The program will promote the phone line through a series of commercials that focus on Utahns who want to quit smoking. The television commercial campaign will target the approximately 200,000 Utah adults who currently smoke. The commercials will borrow the reality TV model, documenting the lives of various participants as they struggle to quit smoking over an eight-wee- k period. Weve chosen to use real people instead of actors because we want smokers to identify with them and know that anyone can do this, said Rod Betit, executive director of UDHT.
