J 1 V Andrea Lopez, who begins her sophomore year at Grand County High next week, is getting a chance to cheer at the Hjla Bowl in Hawaii. At the cheer camp held three weeks ago, 30 girls out of the camp were nominated to try out to be on the Cheer Squad. Lopez was one of those girls, and she was also one of the girls who made the cut. Being the only cheerleader from Moab that made it, Lopez has a lot of preparation to do before the trip that runs from Jan. 28 to Feb. 3. She has to set up practice her cheers, and still make time for basketball practice when the season starts. Lopez also had the opportunity to cheer at the Orange Bowl in Florida, but turned it down for the chance to go to Hawaii.
