Matthews Church of Christ that none of them mentioned the use of mechanical instruments in worship? Loved ones, worship is an individual act and responsibility. Many of us cannot play a mechanical instrument. How then can we worship God "in spirit and in truth" (John 4.24) if we simply watch, ten, or sing along with someone else as they play the instrument? In other words, if a mechanical instrument must be played to worship God acceptably, then each of us must play our own mechanical instrument when we meet to worship God. How foolish the thought! The wise obedient believer will never add to or take away from what is written (1 Cor. 4:6; Rev. 22:18-19May God help us all to understand and apply these things, Some are of the opinion that our motives in presenting a challenge to the RELIGIOUS LEADERS were not true. Matthews ram Advertisement This article will conclude our reply to Mr. Howe, the "pastor" of the Moab baptist church, but it does NOT conclude our CHALLENGE to the RELIGIOUS LEADERS. It's our prayer that nothing we have wntten will make Mr. Howe (or anyone else) our enemy, for we have sim- told you the truth (Gal. 4:16). We again encourage each of you reading these words to "search the scriptures" (Acts 17.11), i.e., open your Bible and read EVERY passage referenced. Only in this way will you know whether we are speaking our own words or the Words of God (1 Pet. 4 11; 1 Thess. 5.21). We agree that many RELIGIOUS LEADERS are teaching some truth. But in areas that affect one's eternal deslina- tion there is much error being taught. For example, most RELIGIOUS LEADERS are teaching that one can be saved sim- ply by believing in Jesus and saying some k ind of "sinners' prayer." In other words, are teaching their followers the FALSE doctrine that one is saved by "faith only," i.e., that baptism is NOT necessary for salvation (cf. Mark 16.16; 1 4.
