Mrs. Jerry Thompson is tempo-rarily living at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. C. J. Robi-son. Her husband left Tuesday with the national guard for duty at Fort Hood, Texas. Athena Floros, who is attending Westminster College in Salt Lake City, spent the week end with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Nick Floros and family. Athena was recently elected secretary of the freshman class for the coming year. Chris Winn visited for a few days with her aunt, Mrs. Ron Steeneck of Sandy. Mr. and Mrs. Ray Olsen enter-tained at a family dinner party at their home in honor of Mr. Olsen's father, Moroni Olsen of Orem on his 84th birthday anniversary. Oth-ers attending were Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Olsen of Provo, Alma Ol-sen of American Fork, Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Thomas of Midvale, Mr. and Mrs. Arlo Thalman of Ameri-can Fork, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Brisk, Mr, and Mrs. Melvin Olsen and Frank Olsen. j given by Mrs. Amy Snow. All ladies of the ward are invited. Mr. and Mrs. L. Fern Pett will leave for their home in San Fran-cisco, Calif., on Sunday after spend ing two weeks visiting at the home of their sons and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Fern W. Pett and family of Logan, Mr. and Mrs. Lynn Pett and family of Ogden, Dr. and Mrs. Glenn Pett and family of Orem and Mr. and Mrs. Bob Jimas and family of Copperton. Barbara Ann Jimas celebrated her 14th birthday Tuesday with a party at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Bob Jimas. Dancing was enjoyed during the evening and refreshments were served. 26 guests were present. Mrs. Jack Jensen and new baby, Sherry Lynn, of West Jordan are spending a week at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Martin Jensen. Mr. Jensen left Tuesday to enter the armed forces at Ft. Hood, Texas. Mrs. Verl Peterson, Mrs. Carrie Doyle and Mrs. Robert King were guests of Mrs. Boyd Anderson at the Women's Civic Club party held Wednesday evening at Immaculate Conception Church Hall. The 500 club held their monthly er at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Joe Dispenza of Sandy, Dinner was served and cards were enjoyed by the ollowing guests: Mr. and Mrs. Hosmer Peterson, Mr. and Mrs. Boyd Anderson, Mr. and Mrs. Verio Kendrick, Mr. and Mrs. Verl Peterson all of Copperton, Mr. and Mrs. Dean Ham of West Jordan and Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Bell of Sandy. Prizes at cards were won by Mrs. Bell and Mrs. Verl Peterson for the ladies and Hosmer Peterson and Verl Peterson for the men. A delightful time was enjoy-ed by all. Savings stamps will be sold every Tuesday at the Copperton Elemen-tary School. 10 and 25 cent stamps' visited Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. David White of Provo. Sunday visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Howard Harker and family were Mr. and Mrs. Dave Stoker and Johnny of Midvale. Spending Friday visiting at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Elvin Armit-stea- d were Mrs. Stephen Downs and son Craig, of East Midvale and Mrs. Kenneth Eastman and family of Herriman. Mr. and Mrs. George Cadd and Mr. and Mrs. A. E. Miller spent Thursday touring the Uintah Basin. They visited Dinosaur National Monument and the Flaming Gorge Dam. Miss Maxine DeCol of Salt Lake City spent the week end visiting with her parents, and brother, Mr. and Mrs, Louis DeCol and Richard. Mr. and Mrs. DeCol took their dau-ghter back to Salt Lake Sunday. Miss Beverly Ray of Salt Lake City visited Sunday with her par-ents, Mr. and Mrs. Albert J. Ray. Saturday visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Howard Harker and family were Mr. and Mrs. Ed Jacob-so- n of Sandy. Mr. and Mrs. Don Crump and family of Pleasant Grove were din-ner guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Hansen Sunday. Mrs. Thomas Sadler spent Friday morning visiting her mother, Mrs. Mary Dow of Draper and later in the afternoon attended an H.N.O. club meeting. Mr. and Mrs. Albert J. Ray visit-ed in Herriman Tuesday with Mr. and Mrs. Calvin Forman and faun-il- y. Sunday dinner guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Dewey Wright were Miss Beverly Wright and Jon Cross of Salt Lake City and John Cross of Pocatello, Ida. Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Poulsen and daughter, Kathy, entertained Sun-day at their home at a lovely birth-day dinner honoring Mrs. Poulsen' s father, Jordan H. Mrs. Rosa Scroggin gave a stork shower for her daughter in law, Mrs. Michael Creedom Scroggin on Monday, Oct. 9. The Johnsons will be joined by Mrs Nicholas Strike and Mrs. John Strike of Salt Lake City. The latter husbands have been in Las Vegas for several days. Don Wright, son of Mr. and Mrs. Dewey Wright, has left for Ft. Ord, Calif., where he will be in training for the U.S. Army.
