On Saturday, the 14th, all priest hood officers and membert are re-quested to attend the priesthood leadership meeting at 6:30 p.m. Also to be held that night is mis-sionary session of conference at 8 p.m. and all are invited to attend. Regular sessions of conference will be held Sunday the 15th at 10 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. held on Oct. 18 at the Salt Lake Temple. Julius Record of South Salt Lake, who celebrated Ninth Ward Primary Co-Pil- ot clan met Sunday, Oct. 8th at 4:00 o'clock and pretented the following program: opening prayer, Lylo Francom; co-pil- ot class sang "Do What is Right", and then they re-viewed what they learned the first part of the year with a question and answer period followed by a story of "Mary and Her Faith" told by Dobra Herman, Susan Galager said a memory verse on Faith, Tim Wil-liams told a story of "Nephi and the Liahona" and the class told in verse what they would learn in the sec-ond half of the year. The class then sang the co-pil- ot tong after which the closing prayer was given by Dennis Woodruff. There were 1 4 parents and children in attendance. Glenna Anderson is teacher of the class. Tuesday and Wednesday, Oct. 10 and II, the Ninth Ward Primary went on a childrens friend drive, selling subscriptions for the child-rens friend magazine, also the Pri-mary has started selling their Christ mas cards. Boy Scout Troop 3 74 held their unit court Tuesday night, Oct. 10. Receiving second class badges were Randy Johnson, Brian Smith and Timmy Burke. Fulda, Germany (AHTNC) Spec-ialist Four Eloy J. Martinez, 20, ton of Mr. and Mrt. Eliteo J. Mar-tinez of Lark, recently participated with other pertonnel from the I tt Reconnaissance Squadron, 14th Armored Cavalry Regiment in fam-iliarization firing with the army a new M-1- 4 rifle in Fulda. The M-1- 4, which is being issued to army units in Germany, will re-place the M-- l rifle, carbine, Brown ing automatic rifle and the M-- 3 submachine gun. The new rifle is lighter than the M-- l, packs the fire power of a light machinegun and firet the ttandard 7.62 millimeter NATO cartridge. Sepecialist Martinez, a mechanic in the squadron's Troop B in Fulda, entered the army in November 1959 and completed basic training at Fort Ord, Calif., before arriving overseas the following June. Add soy sauce, sugar and salt; cover, simmer, stirring occa-sionally about an hour or until meat is tender. Add soup, bean sprouts and green pepper.
