BULL CALF TO BE EXHIBITED AT BIG SHOW Smithfield Breeder Secured Prize Animal From Empire Farms In Clarence Meikle, one of the successful holstein breeders at Smith-fiel- d, will be much in evidence at Black the Richmond and White show this year. He has just received a prize bull calf from the Em- pire Stock Farms, at St. Peters, Minnesota. This calf comes from stock, its mother, a three year old, taking first prize at the Minnesota state fair in 1934. This calf, which is a very attractive speciman, should place well up in the junior class. It is nearly p.11 white with a black spot on its tail and black on both sides of its head with black ears. There are also a few black spots on its neck. In addition to this calf, Mr. Meikle will also exhibit some choice heifers and perhaps some mature cows. Dairy Day Dates Set in Box Elder Brigham City The date of May has been scheduled for the ninth annual Dairy day for Box Elder county, to be held at Brigham City. All dairymen planning to exhibit dairy cattle are urged to notify Chairman Noble Hunsaker of the extension office, so that can be made for arrangements the testing of the cattle by the state livestock inspectors department.
