A beautiful birthday cake graced the center of the table where lunch was served buffet. FRIDAY BRIDGE Members of the Friday Bridge club were guests of Mrs. Rex Lamb at her ranch home Friday afternoon. The guests present were Mrs. Homer Robinson, Mrs. W. R. Harris. HAD SUNDAY GUESTS Miss Alice Todd entertained Polio Victim Is Improving Mr. and Mrs. Frank Tanner enjoyed a visit last week from Mrs. Tanners mother, Mrs. Jane H. Mecham, of Ioka. who brought the good news of the of her steady improvement grandson, Earl James Paradise. The boy was stricken with polio last October 26th and has been confined to a hospital in Milwaukee, Wis. It is expected that he will soon be taught to walk again. Earl and his brother and sister visited here and in Ioka during the summer of 1949 when the family spent the summer here. Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Davis and daughters, Thelma and Darlene spent a few days in Salt Lake City, where Mrs. Davis received medical attention. She recently underwent an operation on her foot and is now steadily improving. Austin Brokaw suffered painful Injuries last week when he fell from a hay stack.
