Bancroft, son of Mr. and Mrs. George Bancroft, Duchesne, is now serving with the 43rd Infantry Division in southern Germany. The division, a National Guard unit from Connecticut, Rhode Island and Vermont, joined the North Atlantic Treaty Organization in Europe last October.
