The boys made a lot of errors, piling up a big score. Calvin Monks, district vice commander of District 9, American Legion, went to Salt Lake Wednesday night to join other delegates who left Thursday by train to attend the 34th National Convention of the American Legion being held in New York City. Mrs. Monks and her father, Tod Thomas, accompanied him to Salt Lake City. They were accompanied home by Mrs. Thomas. who had been with her daughter, Mrs. Farrell Purcell, who recently underwent an operation. Visitors at the ranch home of Mr. and Mrs. Don Giles are Mis. Mr. and Mrs.Lynn Hansen have been in Arcadia and Duchesne several days because of the shipment home and burial of the body of Mrs Hansens brother, Wayne Shields, who was kil-ein Korea in July 1950. His funeral service was held in the Duchesne Stake House Sunday afternoon. Mr. and Mrs. Ross Fitkau and family, of Ogden, have been enjoying a weekend of fishing while visiting with Mr. and Mrs. Irving Snow. Sheila Evans is visiting In Salt Lake for a few days.
