A dance in the evening wall end the day's activities. Last year the citizens nf decided that a turn about" would be fair play, and that if a celebration were staged on J d 4 111 In 1033 that it would be fitting and proper to celebrate Jul 24th in 1934. As a result of this decisi in, committees are now hard at work getting tilings "lined up for the big day, and it Is very probable that a good many of our leading citizens will be given an opportunity to render ass, stance either directly or indirectly in helping to make the days activities a success. Some of the best celebrations Utah have be n held on July 2 it The pioneer spirit is still with uc and this is espeually true in our newer communities. With tae right kind of cooperation, there is no question about Duchesne being able to stage one of the best celebrations in the state for a city of its size Duchesne is well on its way to a good celebration as soon as It starts, because of its fine park in which to stage it. No towoi in the Basin, and few in the state can boast a park so well suited to the giving of celebrations as can Duchesne. Ideally situated at the South border of the city, a natural island formed by an old bend in the river, generously supplied with shade trees and lawn, and with a good rainproof grandstand over looking a perfect ball diamond, rodeo grounds and race track, it is a town asset of which the citizens are justly proud 1 HEAVY SHOWERS RLIEVE HOT SPELL IP avy showers and Tuesday Wednesday brought needed relief from the 90 degree weather we have been having.
