He recently received his private pilots license and has enlisted in the Air Corps Flying Cadets. He expects to be called into service about Alay 20. Dr. Whitmore and County Nurse, Airs. Alartha Shanks, finished the immunization for typhoid fever at the schools on Thursday of last week. Quite a number of adults and children took advantage of the opportunity to be inoculated. Lyndon Hansen and Lee Powell made a trip to Salt Lake over the week end to bring in county road equipment. Air. Hansen's daughter, Betty, accompanied them on the trip and was successful In securing a secretarial position at toe State Capitol. Miss Hansen is valedictorian of this years graduating class at Altamont. She will take up her duties as soon as school closes. Air. and Airs. F. D. A 'beautiful silk quilt was made for Miss Madelyn Wilkins, whose engagement to Hardy Perkins was announced by her mother. The marriage is to take place the latter part of May.
