The event of the year in local high school mrcles was the junior prom given bv the class of 27 In Odeon hall Fri-da- v evening ,The decorations were declared to have been the most beautiful ever attempted by a high school Special organisation. The hall was transformed into a Japanese garden bv means of crepe paper In colors of lavender, pink and Ted. A lowhanglng frieae concealed the ceiling, and Japanese lanterns, from which hung long streamers of Imitation cherry blossoms, gave an oriental touch to the scene. The walls were similarly decorated, relieved with huge bunches of chryaanthemuma. Floor baskets contained cherry blossoms and chrysanthemums, and the orchestra pit was lined with the same color scheme and veiled with a curtain Vf cherry blossoms. A Japanese pergola, decorated with Japanese emblems and wicker baskets of flowers, was presided over bv two high school girls dressed in Japsnese jiht turner.
