Knudson returned recently from Washington, D. C., where he has served the government the past ten months in the Ordnance department. He Berved In the office of the Chief of Ordnance where he handled promotions of all enlisted men In that department until after the armistice was signed, when promotions temporarily ceased. He was then given charge of the statistical work orthe department, having special qualifications for such work. It consisted of keep.us .ack of the number of enlisted ordnance men, their work and location, and the rendering of weekly and reports on same. With the demobilization of the army the work of the department eased up and Mr. Knudson was able to secure his relase February 5th. tie was given a handsome certificate, signed by Major General C. C. Williams, Chief of Ordnance, U. S. army for faith ful service to the government during the world war.
