Show i TIIE SALT LAKE TRIBUNE, SUNDAY MORNING, OCTOBER J2 and T. C, Burton, county attorney, present. The right of way Was eboseo during the previous ata-tadministration, when there was consul-- ! eTable friction as to where the state road should be routed. The seetion runs from Chicken creek dam to Mills, on the Zion National park highway. - The-sta- te law places the work- - of furnishing right of way for state roads on the county commissioners, . rather than on the state road commission. Some of the Juab county commissioners .opposed the route taken, and for that reason the right of way was not ob-- ; commissioners, . f . , I Claim for $4000 Presented I 'Against Highway Across I' Property in Juab County. Claim of Alfred Bangerter of Davia County for $4000 for the right of wav for the state road across his dry land claim of 320 acres in Juab county was taken up yesterday bv the state vroad commission, with Mr. Bangerter, W. C. Orme and George Francom, county tamed. Mr. Bangerter yesterday told the commission that he had been offered at one time 7600 for his lands, taken as a dry farm claim, and at another imp 8000. The state highway crosses the land diagonally, and occupies about eight acres in all. The Juab county commissioners said thev were willing to offer 100 for the land occupied by the state road, although the land had never been assessed to exceed 5 an acre. It ass derided yesterday tLat Mr, Bangerter would file his claim and that, if this were rejected by the county wotild be commissioners, the matter taken into the courts. The land has not been under cultivation. The road commission arranged with Professor William Peterson of Logan and WiUiam- - BaiieVr-ebairma- nof the state board of equaliration, to go over the state road budget again-The two men were members of a committee which prepared the budget, prior to the passage of certain road legislation, and the bond is'ue of 1,000,000 by the laat legislature. Borne apparent discrepancies between their report and the budget itself have been brought to light, and it is desired to know just what the undertaking was. In one instance the budget appears to make no provision for work on w forest road from Kamas to ytockmore, under con- tract ' between the state and federal governments, whim the report seems to support the expenditure. In the mean-timthe federal forest service has spent some of the money, looking for reimbursement from the state. e Anonymous Persons Intimate Injury to Those Sent to Work tit West Jordan: Efforts to interfere with the work of the employment bureau operated by Balt Lake test No. 2, American Legion, at its headquarters in the Hotel Utah, have been made recently, according to Henry F.
