Mrs. Jessie Lee Ellis, missionary for the Presbyterian church at Rez-aiePersia, graphically describes an airplane visit to their station by Mrs. C. W. Williams, of Portland, Oregon, secretary for the Pacific Coast of the Board of Foreign Missions and Mrs. J. Taylor, wealthy American woman. In a letter received by her father, Rev. Theo. Lee, of Berkeley, California, who is spending the summer in Spanish Fork. Mrs. Ellis and her husband, Dr. W. P. Ellis, have been missionaries in Persia for the past 14 years. Six years ago they were home on a furlough. Dr. Ellis is in charge of the Westminster Hospital at Rezaieh, Persia. From their own purses, Mrs. Williams and Mrs. Taylor paid two thousand dollars for the airplane which took them from Jerusalem to the different mission stations in Persia. Mrs. Willlafiis daughter, Mrs. Ralph G. Hutchison, is a missionary at Teheran, Persia. In her letter Mrs. Ellis tells how the Boy Scouts put the landing field In condition for the airplane and how the landing field was laid off with four fires, one in each corner. The field had been used the previous year by the army when there was trouble with the Kurds, but it had fallen into disrepair so the Boy Scouts were detailed to put the field in repair and spent two days waiting there for the plane. The missionaries were thrilled to have their visitors arrive by special plane. The letter from Mrs. Ellis stated how the visitors inspected the mission, going first to the Seminary where the girls were in chapel and where both of the visitors spoke; then to the hospital where all the beds were full and more patients than could be accomodated; then to the dispensary, where many patients were waiting; then to the boys schools where they spoke in chapel, then to the new Syrian church, just being completed. They were then taken to the college, where they viewed the old hospital and the boys h, dormitory. Buy a Ezra Warner Home-Se- e f" termrmirmt TrmntprUti pi . with Bodjr by.
