Searcy of the Sixth Judicial district of Colorado. On January 12 Judge Searcy awarded damages of 329.946 50 against the Rico Argentine Mining company and 37346 60 against the Marmatlte Mining and Milling company, lessees of the defendant. According to advices received here. It Is probable that the motion for retrial will be held on or about June 1 before Judge Searcy In Durango, eolo. It ia true that 4 he. deposUs are not large, but the ore seems to have a permanent appearance and by all the rules of the mining game the hunches which are now berng followed should lead, to something much larger and better. Local mining men who have visited the property during the past few weeks state that the ore showing Is far. better than It waa on the 800 level, when the stock was selling close to GO cents per share It was on the 800 level that the Eureka Bullion people encountered their first ore, and one shipment was made from that part of the mine. Later the shaft was sunk and an effort made to open the or a few hundred feet deeper, but the drift missed It at that point, and the management came back up to the 900 level and started a campaign of work which haa been of a most satisfactory nature.
