Conaldarabl In th activity prevail mines of the Junto district, situated near Sulphur, Nev., a station north of Winna-muccon th Western Pacific railroad, according to George A. Childers. A. D. Ramel is resuming work on his copper groups known aa tha Solo and Copper Zona, which wera under option to P. H. Craves or th Craven Copper company. Th option aspired in April and thera hav been several attempts at a ra- newal of th option, but nothing definite has been arrived at. Mr. Ramel is looking toward tha formation of a new corporation, which will in- cluda the Claudia group, where a fine showing of gold, silver, copper and lead has been oxposed by shallow shafts and drifts representing 210 feet of underground work. The proposed new corpo- ration will taka in tha Solo and Copper Zone group The Claudia vein rune southeast for the Copper Zone, a distance straight - of about 6000 feet, and can be traced for the entire distance, showing values vary- Ing from gold to gold, silver, lead and copper. From shaft Ko. 1 the Claudia vein ' makes direct for a very large dk of with llmonlte lime quarts, porphyry, strongly in evidence. That djke, which is over 100 feet wide, runs the heart of the Copper Zone group. In 1906 an engineer. O. R. Young, who on the ground, spent a couple of gave It as hie opinion that eventually the main and permanent body of ore on the Claudia would be found connected with that dvke and that the dyke itself would, be found In all probability heaVMy mineralised. He recommended that the whole of the future work should be directed along that line. As copper, lead and silver prices in those days, and for years afterward, were at low ebb nothing was done on that part of tha groand. Later a drift was driven from th bottom of shaft No. 1. Though no ora was found on the surface, the drift show continuous ore with high values. Mr, Young's theory r may prove correct. 1.000 200 loo t3 400 600 1.000 too 1.000 too tod I 1 (too 10 000 6.000 a, 10.000 00 60 1 000 3 0o0 3 000 6.000 1.000 3.000 6.000 6.000 6 000 1.000 6.000 6.000 1.000 300 000 6 000 1 6.000 6.000 600 (.000 ItO 1.000 6.000 600 1,004 1.747 00 1.000 1,090 6.000 (Quotations by Edward L.
