The animal control officer dealt with 43 animal complaints. 100796, A west side RP (Reporting Party) reported that he had been chased by subject wielding a bow and arrow. A visitor from Georgia reported that she had come all the way to Moab to lose her wallet. A wallet belonging to a visitor from Idaho was found by a Moab resident. An officer responded to a local store on a report of a disorderly subject. The responding officer was advised that the individual had come into the store with a pack of cigarettes and he was complaining that they were stale The clerk told the subject that the manager was the only one who could authorize a refund and if he would return later... The customer would have nothing to do with that and reportedly became unruly The officer spoke with the dissatisfied customer who became more reasonable. Officers were also busy with a noise complaint, two false alarms, another lost and found report, two thefts, a criminal mischief, a welfare check, and a civil problem 100896, An officer was dispatched to a local motel on a noise complaint The RP told the officer that, Something had to be done about the noise above his room! The RP advised the officer that he had attempted to resolve the problem with management, but that was not successful, so he decided to get the police involved The officer contacted the motel employees, who escorted the of- ficer to the room above the complainants The officer listened at the door for some time and v as unable to detect any noise The officer contacted the complainant and told him that there were no more noises coming from the room in question until his money had been rehard to funded1 Some people are satisfy. The animal control officer responded to an east side residence on a complaint of a dog under the bed. The RP advised that the dog had entered his residence and made a dash to a bedroom and hid under a bed. The animal control officer pulled the animal from under the bed and observed that the dog appeared to be blind and was extremely scared. A lost and found detail, a false alarm, a runaway, a citizen assist, and a family fight were also reported. 100996, Some visitors from England came to Moab to lose their travelers cheques. They were sure where they lost them, but hadnt noticed them missing for several hours Two Moab men, who had taken up residence in a vacant home, were arrested on trespass and intoxication charges. A burglary and a suspicious incident were also investigated 101096, A Colorado visitor reported that her diamond ring had been stolen during a visit to Moab. The RP advised that the ring had been taken from the motel room she was staying in about three weeks ago She advised that the wedding ring was worth $1,200. An officer was dispatched to a west side trailer court on an visitor. A downtown business person reported that the drive-lin- e unknown problem. The officer met with the RP who advised the officer that the occupants of a trailer he owned were in violation ofthe terms of their contract. The officer informed the RP that the problem was civil in nature and did not fall within the purview of law enforcement. A thirteen year old Moab boy was referred to juvenile court on retail theft charges after reportedly attempting to steal a watch band a Walker Drug. Officers also dealt with a suspicious incident, a lost and found detail, an agency assist, a burglary, and a telephone abuse. the path to had been removed from the RPs vehicle while the vehicle was parked behind the business. A visitor from Pennsylvania reported a lost wallet. The RP advised that she had left her wallet on top of her car and then proceeded to drive around town.
