He was a Texas Gulf Potash employee for some fifteen years here in Moab where he had retired from the company in 1977. His wife. Fern, Salt Lake City, survives. Funeral services were held at Evans Early Funeral Home in Salt Lake City Nov. 20, 1990 at 2 p.m. and interment was in Salt Lake City. Mrs. Fern Edwards' address is, 1320 S. 9th West, Salt Lake City, Utah 84104. OVERNIGHT LAZER rr Fish and "Wildlife 2000, a Plan for the Future" is a strategic plan that describes goals and objectives for more efficient management of fish and wildlife resources on the public land. It outlines the direction of the BLM's fish and wildlife program between ow and the year 2000. Also, it provides for increased understanding of the Bureau's approach to management of fish and wildlife A wildlife workshop and open house will be conducted by the Grand Resource Area Office of the Bureau of Land Management. The purpose of the workshop is to acquaint the public with BLM's Fish and Wildlife 2000 Management Plan. On Wednesday, Nov. 14th high school and middle school students from all over Southeastern Utah gathered at the Green River High School for the 5th annual Project Teamwork Conference. This conference, jointly sponsored by Four Comers Mental Health, the Governor's Office, the Utah Division of Substance Abuse, and the Utah Federation for Drug Free Youth was designed to help students develop the resources and the results of management. Fish and Wildlife 2000 stresses the need for partnership between government and private sectors at all life skills they need to remain DRUG FREE. The main speakers were Ms. Carol Vorhees of the Utah Office levels. The goals and objectives outlined represent a significant BLM commitment to protect and manage fish and wildlife habitat on public land within the framework provided by Federal Land Policy and management Act (FLPMA), BLM's multiple-us- e Won $50 . cornucopia Lillian M. The conference was kicked off by the Emery High Drill Team performing a drill to the song "Choose to Refuse" sung by Michelle Coles. In addition to the , two main speakers, students also enjoyed a play on alcohol and other drug use called "The Quiet Place," performed by Emery High Peer Helpers. Grand County students attending the Conference seemed evenly divided on which session they thought was best. Several Grand High School Drug Free YouthPeer Helpers began making plans on the bus ride home to raise funds to bring Mr. Steve James to Moab so that other students and the community could enjoy his dynamic presentation. The 45 students who attended the conference from Moab were accompanied by Four Corners Mental Health Center staff, the faculty advisors for the Drug Free programs at each school, as well as an interested parent The Moab Health Office is offering a Cholesterol Clinic on Wed., Nov. 28 at 1:30 to 4 p.m. by appointment.
