Mr. Fausett spent much time in the Canyonlands and followed the path of the original explorers, stopping where they stopped, seeing and recording what they saw. But his work his not only a document of the Powell expedition; it is a personal statement of the awesome greatness of Utah's Canyonlands. Dean Fausett is one of Americas top realist artists today. Greatly inspired and influenced by his older brother, Lynn, also a prominent painter, he studied initially at the Art Students League in New York and then on to Europe where he discovered the techniques of the Italian Renaissance painters, an insight which In 1869 Major Powell's first expedition coursed through southern Wyoming, Utah and Northern Arizona and ultimately made possible the taming of the Colorado River and provided access to some of the natural marvels of the world. However, we must realize that our grandparents could not possibly have lived long enough to be succeeded by two generations without accumulating a vast store of knowledge and gaining an enviable perspective on the mysteries of life itself. The faith you acquire at the Church of your choice will teach you to honor and respect your grandparents, because there is much of value that you can learn from them. Deuteronomy 32:7 As a reward for their work the 4-club presented them with a club jacket. In appreciation for their cooperation, hard work and diligence, their leader gave them a ribbon hair barrette to wear for competition. Unfortunately just a few days before they were to go to state, Aimee had an accident and broke her arm. She was unable to go and compete.
