The newest stles took center stage Thursday as the I'tah County Medical Alliance "A Bit of Style" at the Provo Park Hotel and again Saturday as The Orein Women's Cluh enjoyed a "Potpourri of Fashion" at Utah Valley Stale College. , cele-hraie- d rf ..Dfr rii . The first two stores were also part of the show on Saturday along with House of ivins. Ivins Act II and Peeey's Bridal. While each of the stoa's features its own unique brands, certain trends seem to be topping everyone lists for the coming warm weather including broomstick skins, vests, jackets and denim. The name may not be familiar, but everyone will be seeing the crinkled look of the broomstick skirt this spring. Paired with a and sansimple blouse or dals, the skin works well at the office or a casual day around town. Presses in general have longer lengths this year with both tight and full skirt styles on the market. Floral prints are again popular, but the basic black and navy items w ill never go out style. Vests can be found this spring in all colors and fabrics. Denim vests are particularly popular and can be paired with dresses, shorts or jeans to give an outfit a casual accent. Jackets will again look classic with either pants or skirts. A new twist on the style this season is the bolero jacket reminiscent of what is worn by a Spanish toreador. Paired with a pantsuit. the look is refreshing. Denim will once again be a versatile fabric. Shirts, skins, dresses, shorts and vests can all be fashioned beautifully from the fabric which fits into almost any social or work function.
