Even amidst the city's neon-li- t cacophony, the Treasure island stands out especially if you happen to witness one of the pirate battles enacted several times a night in front of the hotel. Crowds fijl the sidewalks for the spectacle, e w,hich involves two nearly vessels in a moat (one a pirate ship, the other a British frigate) engaging in a cinematically choreographed clash complete with swashbuckling dialogue, dizzying fiery explosions and the climactic sinking of the frigate.
