The following sample of traditional cookie favorites are fast and easy, and cookie munchers in your house will find these home-bake- d treats easy to make and hard to resist. MAPLE PECAN CHOCOLATE BARS c. unsifted flour 23 c. sugar 12 t. salt 34 c. cold margarine or butter 2 eggs 1 can sweetened condensed milk t. maple flavoring 2 c. chopped pecans 1 c. semi-swechocolate chips 14-o- z. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In combine flour, sugar large and salt; cut in margarine until crumbly. Stir in 1 beaten egg. h Press evenly into baking pan. Bake 25 minutes. Meanwhile, in medium bowl, beat sweetened condensed milk, remaining egg and flavoring; stir in nuts. Sprinkle chips evenly over prepared crust. Top with pecan mixture; bake 20 minutes longer or until golden. Cool. Cut into bars. Meanwhile, in heavy saucepan, over low heatm melt caramels with sweetned condensed milk, stirring constantly. Pour evenly over prepared crust. Top with reserved crumb mixture.
