Show COIPIPEIELTOKf IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT Copperton and Mrt. V. S. Barlow of Midvale attended the A.I.M.M.E. luncheon and program at the Alta Club in Salt Lake City Tuesday. RELIEF SOCIETY Copperton Ward Relief Society for next Tuesday, March 20, at 10 a.m. ia the literature meeting with lesson to be given by Mrs. Mary Raby. All ladies of the ward are invited to come out. Mrs. Tom Anderson spent Tuesday Tues-day and Wednesday at the home of her daughter and son in law, Mr. and Mrs. Boyd Householder and children, Joni and B. J. of White City, Sandy. Nikkie Jimas, who ia attending Idaho State College at Pocatello, is spending the week end with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Bob Jimas and family. Mrs. Carrie Doyle is spending a few days visiting at the home of Mrs. Estelle Cust in Midvale. Mr. and Mrs. Larry Peterson and family of Salt Lake City visited at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Neldon Chadwick Tuesday ev ening. Visiting Wednesday at the home Suzanne Greene PR 4-2224 of Mr. and Mrs. David White in Provo. A quilting party was enjoyed Friday at the home of Mrs. Elin Armitstead by Mrs. Ella Cook, Mrs. Pearl Schultz, Mr. Inez Goff, Mrs. Gladys Scroggin and Mrs. Melba Harker. A lovely luncheon was served ser-ved after qquilting. Mrs. Stephen Downs ia going to be the lucky one to receive the quilt. Mrs. Duane Shults and son Scott of Salt Lake City were overnight visitors at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Louis DeCol Friday. Dennia Christensen, son of Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Christensen of Kearns, visited over the week end with his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs Angus Christensen. Sunday evening before returning home with his parents, par-ents, a lovely dinner was enjoyed., Tuesday evening Mr. and Mrs. James Hnrdman of Salt Lake City, 1r. and Mrs. Mad Jackson of Magna and Mr .and Mrs. Roy Hardman Ruth Clair Kidd PR 4-2704 Mr. and Mrs. Elvin Armitstead had as week end visitors Mr. and Mrs. Dean Angus and children of Burley, Idaho and Mrs. Alice Angus of LaPoint. Edith DeCol of Salt Lake City and Cindy Densley, daughter of Mrs. Mary Densley of Kearns, were week end visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Louis DeCol. Mrs. Jane Rice returned to her home in Midvale Sunday after pending seven week at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. George Blake. Visiting Wednesday afternoon at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Roy Hardman was Mrs. Tony Jaterka of Kearns. Mr. and Mrs. Louis DeCol visited at LDS Hospital Wednesday with Mrs. Grace Kourse, an aunt of Mrs. DeCol. Mrs. Ben McAllister, Ben E. and Virginia, and Grant Milner were dinner guests Tuesday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. H. T. Johnston of Salt Lake City were Mr. and Mrs. Boyd Householder and children of White City, Sandy, and Mrs. Tom Anderson of Copperton. Mr. and Mrs. Ray Olsen and daughter, Cherri, entertained at dinner Sunday in honor of Mr. and Mrs. Bill Kovads and children, Bill, Kicky and Gary of lnglewood, Calif. Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Anderson and children, Rayette, Nathan and Kaylene, of Draper visited Sunday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Tom Anderson. The occasion celebrated Mrs. Joseph Anderson's birthday. Mrs. Bill Kovacs and children, Bill, Ricky and Gary enjoyed luncheon lun-cheon at the home of Mr. and Mrs. 'Melvin Olsen Tuesday. Mr. and Mrs. Bill Kovacs and children, Bill, Ricky and Gary, of lnglewood, Calif., arrived Sunday to attend the missionary farewell for their son, Jimmie, who is going on a mission to London, Angland, for the LDS Church, which was enjoyed dinner in Salt Lake City, the occasion celebrating the birthdays birth-days of Ray and James Hardman and Mrs. Jackson. Maxine DeCol and Harvey Dick-erson Dick-erson of Salt Lake City were dinner guests at the home of Maxine's parents, par-ents, Mr. and Mrs. Louis DeCol. Visiting and enjoying dinner Sunday afternoon with Mr. and Mrs. George E. Cadd were Mr. and Mrs. Lynn Pett and children, Linda, Nancy, David and Diana of Ogden and Mr. and Mrs. George Cadd Jr. and children, Randy, Cheryl and Bryan of Midvale. On March I I, Mrs. Maude Miller enjoyed her birthday with friends and family and also the occasion of Mr. Miller's return home after a long stay in the hospital. During the day about 35 guests dropped in to wish Mrs. Miller a happy birthday birth-day and Mr. Miller speedy recovery. Mr. and Mrs. Roy Hardman and daughter, Deborah, enjoyed dinner at home of Mr. and Mrs. Ronnie Burke and family of White City, Sandy, Sunday. Spending the week end at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Albert J. Ray were their grandchildren, Bobby, Lynette and Jay Forman, children of Mr. and Mrs. Calvin Forman of Herriman. Lori Peterson of Magna is spending spend-ing the week at the home of her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Poulsen. Mrs. W. Russell Anderson of held at the Salt Lake Mission of the LDS Church. Mr. and Mrs. Kovacs and children will spend a few days in Copperton as guests of Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Olsen, Mr. and Mrs. Ray Olsen and family and Mr. and Mrs. Joe Brisk and family. Mrs. Kovacs is a sister of Melvin and Ray Olsen and Mrs. Brisk. Mrs. Howard Hausknecht attended at-tended the Spring Garden Festival held Mbnday thru Wednesday at Terrace Ballroom in Salt Lake City. Mrs. Hausknecht was chairman of the awards committee and Monday afternoon she gave a program on chrysanthemum culture and showed colored slides of shrysanthemums she had grown. This was the tenth annual festival and largest attend- Cushing. Fifteen members were in attendance. Lovely refreshments were served by the hostess. The 500 club met at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Bell of Sandy on Thursday night of last week. Couples attending were Mr. and Mrs. Verio Kendrick, Mr. and Mrs. Hosmer Peterson, Mr. and Mrs. Boyd Anderson, Mr. and Mrs. Verl Peterson, Mr. and Mrs. Dean Ham and Mr. and Mrs. Joe Dispenza. Prizes at cards were won by Mrs. Kendrick and Mrs. Hosmer Peterson Peter-son for the ladies and Mr. Dispenza and Mr. Anderson for the men. Rose and arrived last Thursday in Munich, Mun-ich, Germany, to complete his tour of duty for the U.S. Army. Mr. and Mrs. Martin D. Jensen attended the first birthday of their granddaughter, Merrelynne, daughter daugh-ter of Mr. and Mrs. Lowell Jensen of Magna. Others attending were her sisters and brothers, Lowell C, Mary Ann, David and Bobby. Cake and ice cream were enjoyed. Bingham Fire Ladies Auxiliary met Monday night at the fire hall for their regular meeting. Mrs. Maurine Nielson was hostess for the evening. A business meeting was held after which bridge was played. Prizes were awarded to Mrs. Gay Kendrick, Mrs. Naudyne Swenson, Mrs. Jean Bentley and Mrs. Nora |
