On the first play of the game Juab went with four wide outs and sent the lone back in motion. Then Craig Bryan heaved a bomb to Raymond Garrett for 75 yards and a touchdown. However, Juab was only able to net 55 more yards offense for the game. In spite of the Hawks' Matt Palmer rushing for 200 yards the Wasp defense was tough in key situations. Three times the Wasps held on fourth and one, including once on the goal line. North Sanpete scored in the second quarter on a drive.
