"We felt we had a good chance going in. We are playing pretty good ball, and everything is coming together," said Orem coach Tom Rabb. A tough defensive stand by David Laccoase on second down pushed Roy back to the 22, and, on the next play Brian Aiken led a hoard of defenders to stop the run and bring up fourth down. Roy punted and Orem took possession on its own 37. Harding then carried four times for 44 yards. Bryan Rowley ran two keepers, and Harding ran in from the eight to give Orem a 5 lead.
