Music, drama, film the people art, and the productions g Page S7 II Morey Named Artistic Director Ot Pioneer Memorial Theatre , Charles Morey, artistic director of New Hampshire's Peterborough Players, has been named Pioneer Memorial Theatre's artistic director, announce Keith M. Engar, PMT's executive 'I V pro- ducer. e arMorey is the first tistic director in the theatre's history. His appointment ends a nationwide search that began Feb. 24 at the state's only equity theatre. Engar will continue as executive producer, a position he's held since 1964. During that time, he has also carried the responsibilifull-tim- ar I) a r ties of V z artistic director. Morey, or New York, directed v "Life With Father" in Hi January at PMT. He has served as guest director twice before: "Charley's Aunt" in 1982 and "Arsenic and Old Lace" in 1981. A stage veteran, he has appeared at the New York Shakespeare Festival, Playwrights Horizons, New Dramatists, The Fol-g- er il Robert Bedford's new fUm, "The Natural," will premiere Edge of Night" and a featured role in the CBS series "Young Maverick."
